HKonJ/PEOPLE OF COLOR JUSTICE AND UNITY LEGISLATIVE DAY
Please set aside the earlier half of your day (beginning at 9:00 a.m.) to join us in hearing from NC NAACP President, Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II and other organizational leaders
and civil rights experts. The protection of our voting rights will be central
amongst other issues.
Assembly at 16 West Jones Street, Raleigh, NC and visit and speak with State Representatives regarding critical issues such as:
Protecting,defending and expanding voting rights (more voting rights, not less);
Economic sustainability and the need for addressing poverty, full employment and labor rights;
Ensuring healthcare, such as Medicare and Medicaid, is accessible to all;
Providing educational equality for all students and children;
Addressing the continuing inequalities in the criminal justice system for Black, Brown and poor White people.
A list of Legislative Bills, issues of concerns, lobbying tips, and other helpful handouts will be provided for all attendees.
