The Community Mass Meeting will include a press conference and the announcement of the statewide grassroots mobilization for voter registration taking place over the weekend. In neighborhoods, churches, parks, libraries and other public spaces, NAACP branches and their partners will go to where the people are to register as many as possible to vote.
Speakers will include Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, North Carolina NAACP President and Chair of the Political Action Committee of the NAACP National Board of Directors, Rev. Dr. Amos C. Brown, former Chair of the Religious Affairs Committee of the NAACP National Board of Directors and Pastor of the 3rd Baptist Church, San Francisco, CA, along with other state, national and youth representatives.
